Welcome to Emmy Squared Pizza, a delightful destination for pizza lovers nestled in the heart of Santa Monica at 1920 Colorado Ave, Suite C. This establishment promises an exceptional experience, offering Detroit-style pizza that has already won the hearts of many locals.

From the moment you step inside, the vibe is unmistakably warm and inviting. The menu showcases a range of creative options that pay homage to the classic Detroit style, characterized by its thick, yet light crust that boasts a buttery, doughy texture with a satisfying charred edge. The flavor profiles are carefully crafted, with high-quality ingredients ensuring a memorable bite every time. Many patrons have raved about the Margherita pizza, which features a beautifully balanced tomato sauce, plenty of melty cheese, and fresh basil—perfectly hitting that umami note.

For the meat enthusiasts, the Roni Overload is a feast not to be missed. Generously topped, it satisfies cravings for pepperoni with its bursting flavor, leaving diners longing for another slice. On the vegan front, the Larry pizza has gained acclaim for being one of the tastiest vegan options in the area, appearing to challenge preconceived notions about plant-based pizza.

However, not every dish is met with unanimous praise. While the vegan caramelized onion and garlic confit offers an interesting take, some feel it falls short without accompanying sauce. Similarly, the Impossible Meatballs have had mixed reviews, demonstrating that even beloved concepts can sometimes miss the mark.

Emmy Squared Pizza also provides an array of sides and sauces, making it easy for diners to customize their meals to perfection. A side of fried chicken or their house-made Emmy sauce could elevate your pizza experience even further. And let’s not forget about the beverage menu—whether you’re in the mood for a refreshing can of Sprite or a robust brewed coffee, there’s a little something to accompany every dish.

While some might mention the price tag on the menu as a point of contention, it’s clear that the quality of the food and the overall dining experience resonate profoundly with many customers. Emmy Squared Pizza stands out not just for its delicious offerings but also for its commitment to crafting an experience worthy of its name. Whether you're dining solo or with friends, the lively atmosphere, combined with flavorful dishes, makes it a worthy stop if you're looking for a pizza adventure in Santa Monica.

If you’re in the area, don’t hesitate to stop by, call them at +1 310-828-7629, or order a pizza to enjoy at the nearby Santa Monica Brew Works. Your taste buds might just thank you later!

Solid Detroit styled pizza in Santa Monica. Just when I was thinking LA doesn’t do good Detroit style, emmy squared proves me wrong. The crust is thick but light. Burnt (slight char) on the edges with a buttery doughy texture. Ingredients felt higher quality and toppings were adequate. A solid offering in the area. Not as stellar as Square Pie Guys in the Bay Area but respectable for a celebrated NY chain. We tried 3: Margherita was our favorite, tomato sauce that wasn’t sweet (unlike joes NY pizza), cheese that was ample and in the crust too, and enough basil to go around. You get around 6 square slices and it tastes better the next day. Umami. Roni overload was solid and the meat eaters loved it. They said it had enough pepperoni and flavor for them to keep going back for more. Deeply satisfying. Vegan caramelized onion and garlic confit was an interesting attempt that may need finessing. Since it doesn’t come with sauce, it has to work harder. The vegan cheese was decent but it lacked a dimension of flavor compared to the others. Perhaps the least successful of the 3 but has a lot of potential with some flavor development. We also tried the impossible meat balls that didn’t deliver well. And a side of mushrooms for the baby who seemed to like it. Overall a solid Detroit styled pizza place that is sure to satisfy all your pizza cravings. Delivered well.

Amazing pizza that is next door to SM Brew Works. You can sit at the brewery and a QR code let's you order directly to your table. Please, please, please put a doggy turkey patty on the menu. You have so many dogs there, you would make a fortune.

It's expensive but it's the best Detroit style pizza I've ever had. I can't hate thos place for being expensive. Santa Monica prices are insane, it's not like they created the economy here they just live in it. Go call your congressman if this is too expensive. These people just make food

VEGAN POST: It’s a shame that this place has so many low reviews since those reviews really boil down to price. Yes, it’s expensive for the quantity. 6 slices of Detroit style in LA for 25-30 when you could get 3-4x as much food in ACTUAL Detroit hurts the souls of us midwesterners. But west coast vegans are no strangers to price premiums. The Larry pizza is one of the tastiest vegan pizzas I’ve had anywhere, let alone in a godless (vegan) place called Santa Monica. If you’re vegan (or at minimum dairy-free), and you like Detroit style over others (looking at you Chicago casserole!), then treat yourself to this. Pay more, have some beer next door, and think about Midwest summers.

Living my best life with this deliciousness! I went next door to Santa Monica Brew and luckily got to order from here, the pesto pepperoni pizza literally changed my life! Chicago style, full of flavor, fully loaded and tastes magical the next morning too. I’m not even a pizza person but I’m definitely going back, great location and summertime vibes!

First time here, in from out of town. Ordered the pepperoni and jalapeno pizza. It was delicious. Sweet sauce, which I enjoy and great flavor. Price is a little steep. 5 star rating based on pizza quality and taste. Highly recommend.

By far the most expensive hamburger I’ve ever had 40 dollars i was in shock when i paid that amount for the burger . To me it tasted as any burger the only difference is the meat really juicy and tender the brioche bun gave it a different taste also the chili flakes gave it a nice spice overall the hamburger was delicious heres some proof of the paid amount for a combo. I also looked at my receipt so you also will get charged 18.00% service fee from staff
